The course includes training in both non-surgical and surgical interventions, such as joint replacements and fracture management. Emphasis is placed on the rehabilitation process, encouraging recovery and improving the quality of life for patients with musculoskeletal disorders. The department also covers emerging technologies in orthopaedics, such as minimally invasive surgeries and prosthetics.

Course Description & Details

At the end of the course, the student should be able to

Understand the anatomy and function of the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, and muscles.
Diagnose and manage common orthopaedic conditions, such as fractures, dislocations, arthritis, and congenital deformities.
Comprehend the principles of orthopaedic trauma care, including fracture management, splinting, and surgical interventions.
Develop surgical skills for handling musculoskeletal injuries, including joint replacement and fixation techniques.
Promote rehabilitation and physiotherapy, emphasizing the importance of post-operative care and improving function after musculoskeletal injuries.
